Illinois Cares Rx

Illinois Cares Rx will give Illinois Medicare recipients who qualify help to pay for some of the costs for their prescription drugs.

There is a co-pay, and once Illinois Cares Rx has paid $1,750 in benefits, you will be required to pay 20% of the cost of each prescription drug purchased.

You may be eligible for Illinois Cares Rx if:

• you are age 65 or older (or 63 and a spouse of a deceased previously eligible person), or
• disabled regardless of age, and
• your annual income is no more than a certain amount (see link below), and
• you are an Illinois resident.
